You can check your installed Windows version in a few seconds.
### Quick method
1. Press `Win + R`.
2. Type `winver`.
3. Press `Enter`.
A window with your system information will open. It shows:
- Windows 10 or Windows 11;
- your system version;
- the current Windows build number.
### Why you should check your Windows version
Some programs only support specific Windows versions and builds.
Before installing a product, compare the information shown in `winver` with the system requirements on the product page.
